POP MART
Bangkok, Thailand
Boring retail design is dead. POP MART in Bangkok proves it, transforming every surface into an explosion of colour, signage and light that pulls you deeper into the brand. This space isn’t trying to play it safe - it’s designed to immerse loyal fans and intrigue curious passers-by. The result? A retail environment that refuses to fade into the background and instead places brand experience front and centre.

Utrecht Public Library
Maarten Baas
At first glance, you might mistake it for a Las Vegas casino, but this illuminated façade is actually the entrance to Utrecht’s Neude Library. Dutch designer Maarten Baas transformed the 1924 building with a multi-layered, animated sign that is as bold as it is playful. Oversized typography, vibrant light and a touch of theatre draw you in, while every glowing word from famous authors to sayings like “Knowledge is power” reminds visitors of the building’s purpose. More than signage, it is a cultural statement where function meets art.
